Insider Spotlight
Emirates will conduct its first pilot recruitment roadshow in Manila on Oct. 28 and 29, 2026, in partnership with Industrial Personnel and Management Services Inc.
The recruitment drive targets experienced commercial pilots interested in becoming First Officers, Direct Entry Captains or joining the airline's Accelerated Command Programme.
Sessions are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Oct. 28 and 10 a.m. on Oct. 29.
Workforce expansion
Emirates is expanding its workforce to support increasing passenger demand and a growing international network spanning six continents.
The airline has received 27 Airbus A350 aircraft, with another 47 on order, alongside orders for 270 Boeing 777X aircraft.
These fleet investments underscore the carrier's longer-term requirements for experienced flight crews.
“We look forward to welcoming more pilots from the Philippines onboard our airline as we ramp up our operations globally,” Emirates country manager for the Philippines Khalid Al Zarooni said in a press statement.
$135-M Crew Training Center
Recruitment sessions will cover the airline's Narrowbody to Widebody Direct Entry Captain Campaign, eligibility requirements, career progression and training opportunities.
Successful applicants will undergo competency-based training in Dubai, including at Emirates' new $135-million Crew Training Centre, which houses six full-flight simulator bays for A350 and 777X aircraft.
Employment benefits include tax-free salaries, 42 days of annual leave, accommodation, education allowances and insurance coverage.
32 weekly flights
Emirates has served the Philippines for 36 years, reinforcing its longstanding commercial presence in the market.
The airline currently operates 32 weekly flights connecting Manila, Cebu and Clark with Dubai following a capacity expansion earlier this year.
Its recruitment initiative builds on those ties while positioning Filipino aviation professionals to participate in the airline's international expansion.
