SM’s $3B bonds, sharp investor messaging win big at Anvil Awards

The Sy family conglomerate SM Investments Corp. (SMIC) continues to lead in financial communications and sustainability, winning 13 awards at the 60th Anvil Awards.

The company’s efforts in investor relations, particularly its Euro Medium-Term Notes (EMTN) Program, earned the Best Public Relations Program for Investor Relations award, recognizing its clear and strategic communication with investors.

A key highlight was SMIC’s $500 million bond issuance, part of its $3 billion EMTN program—its largest since 2014.

“The success of our Euro Medium-Term Notes issuance underscores the strength of investing in Philippine companies. A well-executed PR strategy played a crucial role in achieving positive results, and we are grateful to the Anvil Awards for this recognition,” said Frederic C. DyBuncio, president and CEO of SM Investments.

The company was also awarded for supporting small businesses through its “Nego-Unlad MSME Caravan”, which helps micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) grow.

Education, disaster relief
