He brings over 30 years of industry experience, having most recently served as group CFO of Hoiana Resort & Golf in Da Nang, Vietnam, Newport World said in a statement.
Hawke’s status as FCPA (Fellow of CPA Australia) means he has at least 15 years of work experience in accounting, finance, or business. Being an FCPA means he is a recognized expert in his field, having gained strong experience in accounting and finance.
A ranking company official pointed out Hawke’s credentials to InsiderPH, stressing his strong background in the field of auditing. His predecessor who was appointed by the Genting group — the former joint venture partner of the Alliance Global Group — was not an accountant, the source said.
With extensive expertise in pre-opening and managing luxury integrated resorts in Asia, Hawke’s role will encompass corporate and operational finance, strategic planning, financial controls, and budget management.
His addition is expected to strengthen Travellers International’s leadership team, driving financial stability and growth, the company said.
Hawke will report directly to president and CEO Nilo Rodriguez, and collaborate closely with executive chairman Kevin Tan and COO Lance Gautreaux.
