In a special board meeting, the company announced the appointment of Maria Socorro Isabelle “Mybelle” V. Aragon-GoBio as its new president and CEO, effective Feb 1, 2025.
Although stepping back from his executive responsibilities, Gokongwei will remain with RLC as executive chair, continuing to provide strategic guidance to the company, RLC said in a statement.
Aragon-GoBio’s appointment marks a significant milestone for RLC as she becomes the first female president and CEO in the company’s history.
A seasoned industry expert, she joined RLC in 1993 and has since played a pivotal role in shaping its growth and diversification.
Over her three-decade tenure, Aragon-GoBio has held key leadership positions across logistics, residential, and mixed-use developments. Her strategic contributions include spearheading iconic projects such as Bridgetowne, Sierra Valley, and Montclair, which embody RLC’s “Live, Work, Play, Inspire” philosophy.
The new RLC president and CEO earned her degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University in 1993 and completed the minor in International Business from the University of Antwerp. In 2011, she ranked among the topnotchers in the Professional Regulatory Commission’s Real Estate Broker Licensure Examination.
With her deep industry expertise and a forward-thinking vision, Aragon-GoBio is poised to lead RLC into a new chapter of growth and innovation while strengthening its market leadership and creating long-term value for stakeholders, the company said.
