Vincent Co, who is in his early 40s, has been president of Puregold Price Club since 2015. The Puregold Group is one of the country’s largest supermarket chains with over 600 stores nationwide, including S&R Shopping outlets.
Under his leadership, Puregold saw profits soar over 20 percent in 2024 to a record P10.4 billion on revenues of about P220 billion. Puregold is currently valued at P92 billion in the stock market.
Co, who earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Asia and the Pacific in 2003, also plays key leadership roles in other family-led firms.
He is also a director in firms linked to Puregold, Premier Wine and Spirits, and various property and energy ventures.
InsiderPH’s INSIDER INFO column also reported that Co brought Alonzo to the family’s vineyard in Spain.
This may have been the 250-hectare Bodegas Williams & Humbert winery in Andalusia.
In 2022, the Co family’s The Keepers Holdings purchased 50 percent of Bodegas Williams & Humbert for P5 billion.
The Keepers is the largest liquor importer in the Philippines and has a market value of P40 billion.
Co is also the third-largest shareholder in the family’s P43 billion holding company Cosco Capital, behind his parents.
The company owns Puregold, The Keepers, power plants, commercial spaces for lease, and Office Warehouse.
Cosco Capital's president is the non-family professional Leonardo Dayao, who is in his early 80s,
