Sources have confirmed to InsiderPH that two Gordon Ramsay restaurants— Gordon Ramsay Street Burger and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips — are set to open later this year.
Both brands, making their Philippine debut, will be located at the ground floor of the Belmont Hotel Mactan in Cebu, directly across the soon-to-rise Mactan Expo, the venue of next year’s ASEAN Leaders’ Summit.
The Street Burger and Fish & Chips brands, already established in the United Kingdom and South Korea, are known for their fast-casual dining formats.
Ramsay’s expansion into Cebu, through a partnership with Megaworld, signals the property giant’s continuing push to make its townships not just residential and business hubs, but lifestyle destinations as well.
The new dining outlets are expected to boost foot traffic at The Mactan Newtown, complementing its existing mix of hotels, offices, and residential projects.
Industry watchers note that bringing in a global culinary name like Ramsay will likely raise the township’s profile even further, especially with the international attention that the ASEAN summit is expected to bring.
No opening dates have been announced yet, but with preparations underway, Cebu’s food scene is about to get a significant upgrade—and a lot more sizzle.
