In a reversal of roles, over 800 cabin crew members of Philippine Airlines (PAL) were treated and entertained during a two-day event—a well-deserved break for these airline frontliners accustomed to long hours serving passengers.
PAL celebrated International Flight Attendant Day 2024 by treating its cabin crew, who were on-duty, on reserve, and in training, last May 30-31 at the PAL Inflight Center (IFC).
The program featured “pampering, rejuvenation, and wellness sessions” along with physical activities such as basketball and hammer games. Guests were also entertained by guest emcees and performances by the PAL Cabin Services Dance Group.
“With our cabin crew’s daily grind of buong-pusong alaga to ensure the well-being and safety of our passengers, our specially-prepared PAL International Flight Attendant Day celebration is our way of giving back to our key frontliners. This demonstrates how much PAL values its employees,” said PAL vice president for marketing Alvin Miranda.
Event partners included Massage Manila, Figaro, Tanduay, Brothers Burger, and the Max’s Group.
“We are grateful to the company for supporting and recognizing our dedicated frontliners for representing PAL’s distinct brand of service,” said PAL assistant vice president for cabin services Gerry Rustia.
“This event is a first, and we look forward to celebrating this day in this novel way in the years to come,” he added.
