It joins a shortlist of regional winners that includes Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong), Korean Air (South Korea), and Vietjet (Vietnam).
In the Philippines-only transport category, International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) took the gold, Cebu Pacific earned Silver, and Lorenzo Shipping received bronze.
The recognition is based on nominations by Asia’s active community of influential investors and financial analysts, who evaluated corporate behavior and performance over the past 12 months.
Expansion underway
This also comes as Cebu Pacific, part of the family conglomerate JG Summit Holdings, sets its sights on a record-breaking 30 million passengers in 2025, driven by increased seat capacity and expanded regional hubs.
Founded in 1996 by the Gokongwei family with a modest fleet of DC-9s, Cebu Pacific has grown into the country’s leading carrier by fleet size, volume and market share.
