The flag carrier is operating via longer, alternative flight paths to avoid high-risk airspace, with select services making a technical stop in Bangkok for refueling.
“The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our foremost priority. As Riyadh operations resume, PAL will temporarily operate via an alternate flight route to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained during this period,” PAL said in a statement.
Riyadh remains a critical market for PAL thanks to steady demand from Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia.
PAL’s market share in the Middle East stood at 22 percent at the end of 2025, its latest annual report showed.
“We continue to closely monitor the situation and will restore normal routing and full capacity as conditions allow. Updates will be communicated to affected passengers accordingly,” PAL said in the statement.
