The new maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at Clark International Airport will rise on a 157,000-square-meter site and is targeted to begin operations in 2028, significantly expanding the company’s capacity to service widebody aircraft.
“Once operational, the Clark facility will serve as LTP’s second major base maintenance location in the Philippines, complementing its existing operations at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila,” said the company, a venture between Lucio Tan’s MacroAsia Corp. and the Lufthansa Group.
“LTP has provided aircraft maintenance services in the country for more than 25 years,” it added.
Built for next-generation aircraft
The Clark facility will primarily service Airbus and Boeing widebody aircraft and include dedicated aircraft painting and non-destructive testing capabilities.
The companies also plan to add maintenance capabilities for newer aircraft, including the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787.
The project forms part of Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ broader expansion of its maintenance, repair and overhaul business in the country.
