Cebu Pacific climbed to fifth among Asia-Pacific airlines for on-time performance in April, a rare bright spot for an industry still grappling with delays, aircraft shortages and operational disruptions.

The Gokongwei-led carrier posted an 84.98 percent on-time arrival rate across more than 12,000 flights, making it the highest-ranked Philippine airline in London-based aviation analytics firm Cirium’s latest review.

The ranking places Cebu Pacific alongside some of the region’s larger and more established carriers despite mounting pressure on airline operations globally.

Cirium considers flights on time when aircraft arrive at the gate within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival.

Cebu Pacific chief operations officer Javier Massot said the performance reflected tighter operational discipline across the airline’s network.

The carrier also reported a Net Promoter Score of +50 in April, up 27 points from a year earlier, signaling improving passenger satisfaction despite persistent industry-wide travel disruptions.

To support operations, Cebu Pacific recently opened a new aviation training academy and upgraded its network command center into a broader operations control hub aimed at improving disruption and crisis response.

Cebu Pacific currently flies to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
