Taipan Lucio Tan's Philippine Airlines is ramping up its Cebu hub with more flights and bigger planes ahead of the summer rush.

By April 2025, PAL will operate 287 weekly roundtrip domestic flights from Cebu, up 10 percent, covering 18 destinations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Larger aircraft like the 199-seater Airbus A321 will replace smaller planes on select routes, boosting weekly seat capacity by over 39,000 or 17 percent.

This expansion gives travelers more options to reach top spots like Boracay, Coron, Siargao, and Puerto Princesa.

The flag carrier is also increasing flights on key routes, including Cebu to Boracay (21 weekly), Siargao (26), Puerto Princesa (14), and Davao (29). Internationally, Cebu flights now reach Tokyo, Seoul, Osaka, and soon, Ho Chi Minh City — reinforcing PAL’s role in fueling tourism and regional growth.
