NAIA gets 2nd daily United Airlines flight to San Francisco in October

Industry giant United Airlines is doubling down on its San Francisco hub, and the Philippines is a key part of that growth.

Starting Oct. 25, 2025, United will begin flying its second daily, year-round flight between San Francisco and Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, giving US travelers more flexibility with day and evening options.

This follows United’s entry into the market in 2023, when it ended taipan Lucio Tan's Philippine Airlines’ longstanding monopoly on nonstop flights between Manila and the US.

The added flight, operated on a Boeing 777-300ER, strengthens United’s growing footprint in the Philippines as it ramps up service across Asia.

In October 2024, United also launched its Cebu–Tokyo,Narita route.

“Starting on October 25, travelers from both cities will have the option of a daytime or evening flight for greater convenience. United is the only US airline to serve the Philippines, with service to both Manila and Cebu,” United said in a statement.
