Armed with a knife, a male assailant entered a house in Paraiso Street last Thursday a little after 9:00 p.m., according to a report from the village security agency El Tigre Security and Investigation that was seen by InsiderPH.
Accounts on what transpired vary, but the grapevine says the home was robbed and the people inside were tied up.
Based on the report, a member of the household staff managed to report the intrusion, prompting the rapid response from the village security led by Hemerson Natividad, along with Barangay Tanods.
The intruder gained access to the home by “scaling the roof and then evaded capture by moving through eleven properties.”
At around 11:00 p.m., he was found resting on the rooftop of another house along the same street.
“Upon being cornered, the intruder brandished a knife at DC Natividad. DC Natividad warned the suspect and drew his firearm,” the report showed.
“The suspect ignored the warning and continued waving the knife at DC Natividad, prompting DC Natividad to shoot the suspect in self-defense, hitting the suspect in the left lower belly to prevent an attack. Despite the injury, the suspect jumped from the roof and was eventually subdued by other Security personnel,” it added.
The suspect was rushed to the Ospital ng Makati for medical treatment before being turned over to the police.
