The company’s board has approved the merger of several wholly owned subsidiaries under Filinvest Hospitality Corp., led by third generation heir Francis Nathaniel C. Gotianun, who is a senior vice president at the unit.
The restructuring covers Boracay Seascapes Inc., Dauin Seascapes Inc., Duawon Seascapes Resort Inc., Dumaguete Cityscapes Inc., Gensan Cityscapes Inc., Mactan Seascapes Services Inc., Princesa Cityscapes Inc., and Zamboanga Cityscapes Inc.
Filinvest Hospitality currently operates seven hotels with about 1,800 rooms under the Crimson, Quest, and Timberland Highlands brands, alongside golf courses in Clark’s Mimosa Plus Leisure City.
The group aims to add around 2,000 new rooms by 2029, as it upgrades key properties in Mactan, Alabang, and Mimosa to sustain its 75 percent blended occupancy rate.
FDC said the merger aims to simplify operations and strengthen its hospitality structure for future growth. The transaction involves only unlisted units, with no new FDC shares to be issued, and will have no material impact on the group’s consolidated financials.
