This comes after the upscale Pullman Hotels & Resorts, part of the global hospitality group Accor, backed out of a planned luxury hotel deal in the same property last year. This was over supposed "differences in design preference", Primex previously said of the deal that was initially struck in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
New partner
“We are excited to partner with Dusit International, a company that shares our dedication to excellence in hospitality,” said Karlvin Ernest L. Ang, executive vice president of Primex Corp.
“This agreement aligns with our strategic goals for growth, and we believe that together we will create memorable experiences for our guests while elevating the local community.”
The upcoming 200-key hotel will occupy the top 10 floors of the 50-story Primex Tower, a mixed-use development in Greenhills, San Juan.
2026 opening
Slated to open by late 2026, the property aims to bring Dusit’s signature Thai-inspired hospitality to Manila’s upscale market.
“We are delighted to partner with Primex Realty to introduce Dusit’s unique brand of Thai-inspired gracious hospitality to San Juan,” Gilles Cretallaz, chief operating officer at Dusit International, said in the same statement.
“Together, we aim to create a sophisticated urban retreat that will set a new benchmark for hospitality in the city. We look forward to a successful and mutually rewarding partnership,” he added.
