The firm, led by tycoons Edgar “Injap” Sia II and Tony Tan Caktiong, is rolling out a record 2,229 new rooms in 2026, marking its highest number of openings in a single year.
To support this rapid buildout, Hotel101 Global is advancing a US$300 million (about P18 billion) perpetual preferred share offering in the United States.
The rollout includes 680 rooms in Madrid, which opened in March as its first overseas property.
This will be followed by 519 rooms in Davao, 548 rooms in Cebu, and 482 rooms in Niseko, Japan.
Early traction is strong, with Hotel101-Madrid already exceeding expectations in both operations and occupancy just weeks after launch.
The property is also positioned to benefit from the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Madrid this September 2026 under a 10-year partnership with MATCH Hospitality.
These moves reinforce DoubleDragon’s push toward one million rooms across 100 countries while building toward a P500 billion equity base.
