Energy giant Petron Corp. has appointed Jacqueline L. Ang to its board of directors, bringing in a new generation leader with deep experience in procurement and finance.

Ang is currently Petron’s vice president for procurement and has been with the company since 2015, following earlier roles in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance at San Miguel Corp.

She also sits on the boards of Petron Marketing Corporation, Petron Freeport Corp., and Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Berhad.

Ang is the daughter of San Miguel Corp. chair and CEO Ramon S. Ang and holds a degree in economics from Ateneo de Manila University.

Also joining the board is long-time San Miguel executive Emmanuel Eraña.

Their appointments come as Petron marks the passing of two long-serving directors.

Esteemed lawyer Estelito P. Mendoza died in March 2025 at 95. A former solicitor general and justice minister, he was a key figure in government and corporate law. Former Environment Secretary Horacio C. Ramos also passed away in April 2025.
