The new program comes with an introductory annual membership fee of P3,360 and aims to make chamber membership more accessible to micro entrepreneurs, who play a significant role in Cebu's economy but often have limited access to business networks and development opportunities.
More opportunities
Under the program, members can connect with CCCI's network of entrepreneurs, suppliers, industry leaders, and potential business partners. They will also have access to seminars and workshops on entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, digital transformation, and other business-related topics.
"Micro enterprises are an important part of Cebu's business ecosystem. Through this new membership offering, CCCI aims to create more opportunities for micro entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and access resources that can help strengthen and grow their businesses," said Hermie Go, CCCI vice president for chamber growth.
Members will also have opportunities to promote their products and services through CCCI activities, collaborate with other businesses, and receive updates on industry trends, government policies, and business opportunities.
Qualification
CCCI said membership can also strengthen the credibility of micro enterprises by making them part of a business organization that has served Cebu's business community for more than 120 years.
To qualify, applicants must have total business assets of P3 million or less, be registered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) or the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and possess a valid business permit and Bureau of Internal Revenue Certificate of Registration (Form 2303).
The chamber said the initiative supports the continued growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which remain key contributors to employment, innovation, and economic activity in the country.
