Insider Spotlight
In a statement on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, the company said that the discount would run from November 1 to 30, with no applications accepted after the October 31 enrollment deadline.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), seeks to reduce agricultural transportation costs amid rising fuel prices.
Where the discount applies
The discount covers the Skyway System, Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway (NAIAX), South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), STAR Tollway and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).
These expressways serve major transportation corridors across Luzon, making the program relevant to agricultural producers, distributors and truck operators moving food products between production areas and markets.
SMC Tollways said only trucks accredited by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and enrolled in the discount program would qualify.
How truckers can enroll
New applicants must submit three documents: their vehicle's official receipt and certificate of registration (OR/CR), a valid DA Accreditation Certificate, and a copy of their Autosweep RFID card showing the account number.
Applications and supporting documents can be submitted at any Autosweep Customer Service Center before the deadline.
Operators previously enrolled in the program will automatically qualify for November's discount, provided their DA accreditation remains valid.
However, those whose accreditation has expired must register again to continue receiving the discount.
Reducing farm-to-market costs
“We welcome this measure and are ready to carry it out across our expressways,” SMC Tollways said “Moving food from farm to market should cost less, and we urge eligible truckers to enroll before the deadline, so they do not miss out.”
The company emphasized that the October 31 cutoff would be strictly enforced.
Truck operators seeking assistance or clarification on enrollment requirements may contact the Autosweep RFID Customer Service hotline at (02) 5318-8655.
