The 5-hectare terminal will handle 160,000 passengers and 5,200 vehicles daily, integrating directly with the North-South Commuter Railway and Metro Manila Subway Project for seamless mobility.
Construction begins in the first quarter of 2025, with detailed engineering set for completion by Q3 2025 and full construction wrapping up by the first quarter of 2027.
Big picture
The Taguig City Integrated Terminal is one of the Aquino administration-era Public-Private Partnership projects bagged by Ayala Land.
With a concession period of 35 year, it will function like the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), which is operated by Megawide Construction Corp. in southern Metro Manila.
Just as PITX serves as a key transit hub connecting passengers from Cavite and nearby provinces to various transport options in the city, the Taguig terminal will provide a seamless transfer point for travelers from Laguna and Batangas.
Seamless transport hub
It will allow commuters to switch easily between trains, city buses, taxis, and other public transport, improving connectivity and reducing travel time across Metro Manila.
It will have waiting areas, arrival and departure bays, ticketing and baggage counters, real-time travel info, and parking for commuters.
The development is closely linked to the Southeast Metro Manila Expressway (Skyway Stage 4), ensuring better road access to and from the estate.
Once operational, Arca South will serve as a major transit hub, connecting city and provincial buses, jeepneys, and modern AUVs in one efficient terminal.
Project boosts Ayala’s Arca estate
Ayala Land is positioning the Arca South estate in Taguig as a next-generation business district after the nearby Bonifacio Global City.
Arca South features the country’s first full-service cancer hospital, a Landers Superstore for exclusive shopping, the Barça Academy Manila’s official football pitch, and The Blue Leaf, a premier events venue opening next year.
The integration of the Taguig transport terminal and the Southeast Metro Manila Expressway is the result of a collaboration between Ayala Land, the transportation and public works departments, the national defense sector, the Veterans Federation, the toll regulator, and San Miguel Corp.
