The Lifting MSMEs program is designed to address the diverse financing needs of enterprises at different stages of development, while promoting inclusive economic growth nationwide.
Tailored financing for every growth stage
Under the program, newly established or start-up businesses may borrow between P100,000 and P500,000, while growing enterprises can access loans ranging from P500,000 to P5 million. For more established firms seeking expansion, Landbank will offer loans of up to P50 million.
The loan packages feature flexible payment terms and various collateral options, including real estate mortgages and credit guarantees, making financing more accessible to entrepreneurs with limited assets.
Beyond loans: Capacity building and digital solutions
Beyond capital support, Landbank committed to providing borrowers with financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and business development training, alongside the promotion of digital onboarding and financial technology solutions to streamline access to banking services.
The DTI, meanwhile, will complement these efforts through its nationwide Negosyo Centers, which will deliver entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and product development training.
The agency will also help identify and endorse qualified MSMEs for financing, with priority given to women-led enterprises, young entrepreneurs, market vendors, and franchising ventures.
‘Bagong Pilipinas in action’
Trade Secretary Cristina A. Roque underscored the importance of the initiative, noting that the program’s name reflects its purpose.
“Lifting means to lift, to empower, and to open doors for the backbone of our economy, our beloved MSMEs,” Roque said.
She emphasized that limited access to financing remains the biggest hurdle for many entrepreneurs, and the program aims to remove that barrier by giving businesses room to innovate, expand, and generate employment.
Roque also described the partnership as “Bagong Pilipinas in action,” highlighting how collaboration between government and financial institutions can bring opportunities closer to communities.
Strong start for nationwide rollout
