In a statement, the company known for its auditing expertise said she will succeed Wilson Tan, who has led the firm since 2020.
SGV said Fajardo will lead the firm's efforts to drive transformational and sustainable growth. Her priorities will include revenue enhancement, operational efficiency, and improved client delivery.
Fajardo joined SGV in 1988 and became a partner in 2001. She has held several key leadership roles within SGV and Ernst & Young (EY) across both local and regional operations. These include posts as SGV consulting leader, EY ASEAN business consulting leader, SGV IT risk and assurance leader, and EY ASEAN advisory chief operations officer.
Her expertise spans business and digital transformation, finance and risk transformation, and organizational change. She has advised clients across a wide range of sectors, including telecommunications, media, technology, power and utilities, retail, manufacturing, and government services.
In addition to her consulting background, Fajardo is a recognized advocate for women in leadership and active in the EY Women in Technology initiative. She also leads the Philippine EY STEM Girls program, which promotes careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for girls aged 11 to 18.
She holds a degree in commerce, major in accounting, from the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City, graduating cum laude. She also completed the executive MBA program at the Asian Institute of Management, as well as leadership programs from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the London Business School.
Fajardo is a certified public accountant and holds several international certifications, including certified information systems auditor, certified fraud examiner, and certified in risk and information systems control.
