Uy played a crucial role in pushing the government’s digitalization agenda, leading the rollout of eGovPH, eTravel, eLGU, and eReport to streamline public services.
He also oversaw the expansion of the Free Public Internet Access Program, increasing active sites to over 16,000—the widest coverage since the law’s passage in 2017.
His tenure strengthened national cybersecurity through an updated cybersecurity plan and improved the Philippines’ global ranking in digital transformation.
“Secretary Uy expressed his deep gratitude to President Marcos Jr. for affording him the opportunity to serve the Filipino people,” the statement showed.
