A 20-year Kapuso veteran, Valdellon has been instrumental in producing award-winning programs like "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," "I-Witness," and "Lolong." She also helped establish GMA Public Affairs as a leader in delivering diverse content with wide appeal.
Valdellon spearheaded the creation of the full programming grid for GMA News TV, launched in 2011. This comprehensive lineup of news, documentaries, and public affairs programs provided a balanced mix of content designed to attract broader viewership.
In her concurrent role as executive vice president of GMA Pictures, she led the studio to back-to-back Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture wins for Firefly (2023) and Green Bones (2024). She also secured a YouTube Innovation Grant for the digital newscast "Stand For Truth," showcasing her ability to drive innovation in both traditional and digital media.
Her groundbreaking projects include "Lost Sabungeros," the first investigative documentary film collaboration between GMA Pictures and Public Affairs, which explored the mysterious disappearance of over 30 cockfighters.
She served as a New York Festivals grand jury member for six years and running. Valdellon has also been a juror for the Asian Academy Creative Awards since 2018.
Valdellon is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on History and Communications.
