The partnership will focus on the distribution of Dexa Group’s portfolio of affordable medicines and medical products, supported by AC Health’s extensive network — over 800 Generika and St. Joseph Drug stores, more than 220 clinics and six hospitals under Healthway Medical Network, and its importation and distribution arm, IE Medica.
A shared mission for better healthcare
The collaboration is expected to introduce new and relevant therapeutic solutions to the Philippine market.
“This partnership builds on our shared commitment to make healthcare more accessible, while continuing to raise the bar on quality,” said Paolo Borromeo, AC Health president and CEO.
Borromeo added, “Dexa Group brings deep pharmaceutical expertise and a science-driven approach that complements AC Health’s expanding network of retail, provider, and specialty care assets. Together, we aim to serve more communities and deliver better value and outcomes for patients.”
Building lasting healthcare solutions
The alliance includes the creation of a joint project committee and plans to explore long-term synergies in distribution, wholesale, and innovation in healthcare delivery.
“More than a commercial collaboration, this is a convergence of purpose,” said Ferry Soetikno, Dexa Group CEO. “By bringing together Dexa’s research capabilities with AC Health’s reach and mission-driven orientation, we are laying the groundwork for a more inclusive and future-ready healthcare system.”
Dexa Group is among Indonesia’s largest pharmaceutical companies, recognized for its manufacturing capacity, research and development capabilities, and evidence-based product lines spanning generics, oncology, herbal medicine, and clinically validated nutraceuticals.
Dexa’s first strategic move in PH
The deal marks Dexa’s first formal strategic collaboration in the Philippines — a key step in its regional expansion.
“At the heart of this collaboration is our shared commitment to people,” said Atty. Yet Abarca, AC Health Pharma president and CEO.
“Through AC Health Pharma’s nationwide reach we have the privilege of serving millions of Filipinos every day. This partnership with the Dexa Group allows us to deepen that impact by expanding access to clinically backed, affordable medicines that respond to real needs in our communities.” —Ed: Corrie S.
