The company, marking its 40th year, renewed its 14-year collaboration with GMA Kapuso Foundation through a new memorandum of agreement. Hanabishi president Jasper Ong and GMA Kapuso Foundation executive vice president and COO Rikki Escudero-Catbog led the signing at the Kapuso Center Building in Quezon City.
Continuing channel
The renewed partnership gives Hanabishi a continuing channel for community work spanning education, rehabilitation and disaster relief—areas where the company has already built a track record with the foundation.
“We take great pride in working with GMA Kapuso Foundation, an organization that continues to drive meaningful change in the lives of many Filipinos,” Ong said in a press statement.
“As we celebrate our 40th year, we are reminded of the importance of building partnerships to make a real difference in the communities we serve. We look forward to working with them once again as we continue to give back and provide opportunities to our fellow Filipinos,” he added.
Rebuild Marawi Project
Among the initiatives Hanabishi has supported is the Rebuild Marawi Project, which sought to rehabilitate three elementary schools in Marawi City. The company has also supplied appliances to schools to help create more comfortable learning environments.
Longevity of appliances
Catbog highlighted the longevity of appliances deployed through those projects.
“We’re very happy with our partnership with Hanabishi,” Catbog said.
“The appliances that we use from Hanabishi on our schools are very reliable, they’re sturdy, hindi sila sirain. We are very happy because when we do our renovation of schools 10 years and above, we see the original fans still working and still attached to the ceilings of our schools. So we want to say thank you to Hanabishi for trusting Kapuso Foundation and for signing a MOA again. And rest assured that as we go forward with more projects, we will look for more relevant ways to use Hanabishi in our different infrastructure projects,” she added.
Renewed commitment
Hanabishi’s renewed commitment turns a milestone year into a platform for continuity: using a partnership built over more than a decade to extend the brand’s presence from Filipino households into communities where its products can deliver practical, lasting value. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S.
