  • BPI and FAST Group are expanding suppliers' access to working capital through a digital supply chain financing arrangement
  • FAST Group suppliers can receive same-day funding against approved invoices, improving liquidity for daily operations and expansion
  • BPI's Digital Supply Chain Finance Program recorded more than threefold growth in transaction volumes in 2025

Access to working capital remains critical for suppliers seeking to manage operating expenses, maintain inventory, and respond to changing business demands. Faster collection of receivables can help businesses maintain cash flow without waiting for standard payment cycles.

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has partnered with logistics and supply chain provider FAST Group to extend its Digital Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Program to the latter's suppliers, enabling earlier payments on approved invoices.

The arrangement gives suppliers access to funds before invoice due dates, providing liquidity for purchasing materials, paying employees, meeting logistics requirements, and supporting business expansion.

Digital financing solution

The financing solution also offers flexibility during seasonal fluctuations, when suppliers may face higher operating costs or changing customer demand.

Introduced in 2024, BPI's Digital SCF Program allows corporate clients to upload approved invoices onto a fully digital platform.

Suppliers can then select which receivables to finance and receive funding on the same day, reducing the time between delivering goods or services and accessing payment.

"Strong supply chains are built on strong supplier relationships," BPI head of institutional banking Louie Cruz said in a press statement.

"Through our Digital Supply Chain Finance Program, we help companies like FAST Group strengthen their supplier ecosystems by providing easier access to working capital through a seamless digital experience. This partnership demonstrates how financial innovation can support business resilience and growth across the value chain," he added.

Operational efficiency

The agreement builds on more than two decades of banking relations between BPI and FAST Group, extending their collaboration into digital supplier financing.

FAST group treasury and financial services representative Cesar Villacampa Jr. said the arrangement would help suppliers improve operational efficiency and pursue growth opportunities while supporting reliable logistics services nationwide.
