Why it matters
The deal makes Aleph the single point of access for Philippine brands seeking advertising, sponsorship and other commercial opportunities tied to the world’s biggest football event.
Aleph operates at the intersection of media and cross-border payments and represents major digital platforms in the Philippines, including X, Pinterest, Reddit and TikTok.
Under the partnership, Aleph will handle commercial opportunities across multiple media platforms in the local market.
Big picture: The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be historic — expanding to 48 national teams playing 104 matches over 39 days. It is also expected to be the final World Cup appearance for global football icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fans have been waiting nearly four years for the tournament’s return.
During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, Asia recorded over 1.19 billion in digital streaming reach. The region also led globally in digital engagement, accounting for 65.3 percent of video views and 63 percent of hours viewed across streaming and social media platforms.
What they’re saying
“Football has officially moved from the sidelines to the center of the Philippine sports conversation,” said Anna Dy, Aleph country head for the Philippines.
She added that digital content creation is reshaping fan culture, with supporters increasingly sharing the sport in real time.
“For brands in the Philippines, this is a massive opportunity to connect with an audience that is more mobile, more expressive, and more invested in the game than ever before,” Dy said.
