Insider Spotlight
Mang Inasal has made history as the first quick-service restaurant (QSR) in the Philippines to partner with Google Wallet, marking a significant step in the chain’s push to enhance its digital ecosystem and streamline customer experience.
The collaboration supports the rollout of the new Mang Inasal App and aligns with the brand’s broader strategy to make rewards and promos easier to access for millions of customers.
What’s new
Customers who register on the refreshed Mang Inasal App will receive a welcome email containing a button that allows one-tap saving of a free four- piece pork barbecue voucher directly into Google Wallet. Once saved, the system automatically notifies users before the voucher expires, providing a seamless and timely redemption process.
Why it matters
The move positions Mang Inasal as a first mover in adopting Google Wallet capabilities within the Philippine QSR space, signaling an industry shift as brands look to embed loyalty tools inside digital wallets that customers already use daily.
It also highlights how food brands are leveraging mobile ecosystems—beyond traditional apps—to deepen engagement and drive repeat visits.
What they’re saying
“Mang Inasal always looks for better ways to serve our customers. With Google Wallet, we can offer an easier way for people to save and use our special deals,” Mike V. Castro, president of Mang Inasal, said in a press release on Nov. 28, 2025.
