The strategic partnership agreement was signed on May 14, 2026 at GBF Center 1 and aims to expand EV charging access across Robinsons Land properties nationwide.
Through GoCharge, Robinsons Land plans to deploy 500 EV charging stations across its portfolio this year, covering malls, office buildings, hotels, residential developments, and destination estates.
The initiative seeks to address a major challenge facing EV adoption in the country: the limited availability of reliable and accessible charging infrastructure.
EV expansion
Robinsons Land, in a statement, said the partnership strengthens its participation in the country’s developing EV ecosystem by integrating charging facilities into everyday destinations frequented by consumers, tenants, residents, and businesses.
“Robinsons Land has always believed in creating developments that are ready for the future and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve,” said Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio, president and chief executive officer of RLC.
“Through GoCharge and our partnership with ACMobility, we are helping make sustainable mobility more practical and within reach while creating long-term value across our properties,” she added.
ACMobility, the mobility arm of the Ayala Group, will provide charging infrastructure support, operational expertise, and access to its EVRO app, which allows EV users to locate and manage charging sessions more seamlessly.
“Our partnership comes at such a pivotal time. There is a clear intent among Filipinos to shift to EVs,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, chief executive officer of ACMobility.
“This is why we at ACMobility are hard at work building the Philippine EV Spine. With more charging points available from Pagudpud in the north to Pagadian in the south, we will enable worry-free EV-powered drives,” he added.
Sustainability push
GoCharge serves as Robinsons Land’s branded EV charging platform and is designed to support multiple EV brands and models through partnerships with various mobility and charging providers.
The company said the rollout aligns with its broader sustainability initiatives involving renewable energy, green buildings, operational efficiency, and water management.
By expanding charging access across its developments, Robinsons Land said it also aims to support tenants and business partners pursuing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
“We owe it to our children and our children’s children to leave our planet in a much better shape than how we found it,” said Jericho P. Go, senior vice president of RLC and project proponent of GoCharge.
“In the pursuit of this goal, GoCharge plays an important role in reducing our carbon footprint and moving us closer to a more sustainable future,” he added.
Following the agreement, GoCharge stations will be rolled out across select Robinsons Land developments nationwide as part of efforts to encourage wider EV adoption in the Philippines. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
