Insider Spotlight
Fuel remains one of the heaviest recurring expenses for Filipino households, and nearly two million Atome cardholders—many of whom are first-time card users—regularly rely on their cards to pay for essentials. Integrating Seaoil into Atome’s ecosystem adds a high-value, daily-need category where consumers can unlock immediate savings.
How it works
Cardholders can get up to P5 off per liter of Seaoil fuel when they purchase through the PriceLOCQ app and redeem at participating stations. Atome will onboard over 300 Seaoil stations in the first phase, expanding to most of the fuel company’s 800-plus locations nationwide.
The big picture
As much as 80 percent of Atome cardholders are new to credit and primarily use their cards for necessities such as groceries, telco, and utilities. Adding Seaoil aims to help consumers simplify essential spending and stretch their budgets further, especially amid fluctuating fuel prices.
What they’re saying
"Our mission at Atome Philippines has always been to make life more affordable and accessible for consumers,” Christian Quiros, president and country general manager of Atome Philippines, said in a press release on Nov. 25, 2025.
“With fuel being one of the largest recurring household expenses, our exclusive partnership with Seaoil provides millions of hardworking Filipinos a smarter and more flexible way to manage their daily living costs," Quiros added.
"Seaoil is committed to uplifting and supporting the everyday lives of Filipinos. Through this collaboration with Atome, we’re giving our customers more flexibility and value for their fuel purchases, helping them stretch their budget further while keeping their lives moving," said Jayvee dela Fuente, vice president for corporate and consumer marketing, Seaoil Philippines.
Between the lines
The tie-up reinforces Atome’s expanding role in financial access. The company recently secured the Digital Lending Product of the Year award for the Atome Card and earlier closed a P2.75-billion loan partnership with Maya Bank, signaling strong institutional confidence in its lending model. Atome has served more than four million customers in the Philippines.
