WINNING | Ayala Land ramps up energy efficiency across properties

Ayala Land Inc. is deepening its push for energy efficiency across its property portfolio, reinforcing sustainability as a core business strategy amid rising energy costs and growing climate risks.

The company’s property management arm, Ayala Property Management Corp.  (APMC), has been steadily investing in energy-saving technologies, data-driven building operations, and efficiency standards aimed at lowering emissions while improving long-term asset performance.

These initiatives span offices, malls, and mixed-use developments nationwide, reflecting Ayala Land’s broader commitment to sustainable urban development.

This strategy was underscored by the company’s strong showing at the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency Excellence (EEE) Awards 2025, where APMC received the most honors among participants.

The Don Emilio Abello Award for Energy Efficiency Excellence was also presented to Ayala Corp. chair and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, accepted on his behalf by APMC president Tony Martin.

“Ayala has long been recognized for its commitment to sustainability, particularly in the area of energy efficiency. To be part of these efforts at the operational level is a source of deep pride for us at APMC. We see their impact not only within the communities we manage, but also in the broader environment we serve,” Martin said. —-Connie Fernandez-Brojan | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
