The new facility is located at The Uprise at Felcris Centrale Mall, a PEZA-accredited development, and currently serves both global and domestic markets, with capacity for future expansion.
Why it matters
TP’s expansion strengthens Mindanao’s role as a strategic delivery hub for the IT-BPM industry, supporting job creation outside Metro Manila and tapping into the region’s growing pool of domain-ready talent.
The big picture
The launch signals continued confidence among multinational firms in Mindanao’s workforce, infrastructure, and public–private collaboration—key factors driving the decentralization of the country’s digital services sector.
Inside the site
Beyond operations floors, TP Davao Uprise houses a recruitment hub and several employee-focused amenities, including a fully equipped gym, a karaoke room, and a basketball half court.
The site is designed to support workforce well-being while scaling operations as client demand grows.
What they’re saying
“The launch of TP Davao Uprise reflects our confidence in Davao City as a strategic growth hub and in Mindanao as a critical pillar of the country’s IT-BPM industry,” said Rahul Jolly, CEO of TP in the Philippines.
“With scale-ready infrastructure, a deep talent pool, and strong public–private collaboration, Davao continues to enable TP to deliver world-class service to our clients,” he added.
Stakeholder support
Officials and industry partners present at the opening included representatives from the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), Davao Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ICT Davao, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)–Davao, and the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).
MinDA Chair Leo Magno said the IT-BPM industry remains one of the country’s fastest-growing sectors and a key driver of jobs, exports, and digital transformation.
“Investments such as TP’s expansion in the Davao Region translate the national vision into concrete outcomes—generating quality, future-ready jobs for Mindanaoans,” Magno said.
He added that TP’s continued expansion sends a strong signal to other investors that “Mindanao is open, capable, and ready for business.”
Domain-ready talent pool
Davao City is home to more than 100,000 IT-BPM professionals, making it the largest talent hub in Mindanao. The region is known for strong English proficiency, low attrition, and growing domain expertise.
Its workforce has developed specialization in travel and hospitality services, including guest services, reservations, and itinerary logistics.
“People are at the center of our growth strategy,” said Jeffrey Johnson, chief people officer of TP in the Philippines. “Davao continues to prove itself as a destination for resilient, highly capable, and customer-focused talent.”
Recognized digital hub
Davao City has been recognized as a Digital Cities Awardee and a DICT–IBPAP Center of Excellence, and has consistently ranked among the top 10 highly urbanized cities in the DTI’s Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index in recent years.
Strategic location
Situated in central Davao City, TP Davao Uprise offers access to major transport and infrastructure networks. It is near Francisco Bangoy International Airport, which is set to scale up to 13 million passengers annually, as well as Sasa Wharf.
Future infrastructure projects—including the High Priority Bus System and the proposed 102-kilometer Mindanao Railway—are expected to further enhance connectivity.
