Asian Eye Institute has expanded its TriNoma branch, unveiling a larger and upgraded facility designed to make eye surgeries more accessible to patients in Quezon City, Northern Metro Manila, and nearby provinces.

The upgraded clinic now includes a dedicated operating room and expanded clinical space, allowing the institute to accommodate more cataract surgeries, retinal injections, and other essential eye procedures.

By bringing surgical services to TriNoma, the institute aims to reduce travel time for patients and improve access to timely treatment, particularly for those living and working in the northern part of Metro Manila.

Advanced procedures

The branch also offers Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery, an advanced vision correction option for patients with high levels of nearsightedness or those who may not be suitable candidates for LASIK.

The procedure involves implanting a biocompatible lens inside the eye to correct vision while preserving the eye’s natural structure.

“A bigger space means we can help more people restore and protect their vision,” said Dr. Robert Ang, senior consultant and head of cornea and refractive surgery services at Asian Eye Institute, in a statement.

“Accessibility is very important to us. With our TriNoma surgical suite, patients from this part of Metro Manila and nearby provinces can receive the care they need in a facility that is safe, efficient, and designed for comfort,” he added.

Modern technology

The new operating room is equipped with surgical systems such as ZEISS and Leica microscopes, the Alcon Centurion phacoemulsification machine for cataract procedures, and the Bausch + Lomb Stellaris system, which supports both phacoemulsification and vitrectomy.

These technologies allow surgeons to perform procedures with greater precision while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

Patient comfort

The redesigned clinic also prioritizes patient comfort. The preoperative area features Lazy Boy recliners to help patients relax before their procedures.
