Why it matters
The Philippines is home to a dynamic and digitally savvy music audience, making it an attractive hub for creators and labels. ONErpm aims to empower local talent with technology-driven distribution, label services, and marketing support while offering pathways to international audiences.
Driving the strategy
“We have been able to scale sustainably by consistently innovating, putting in the work and creating healthy win-win scenarios and opportunities for our clients and partners,” said Isaac Miranda, ONErpm Associate Director for Asia. “Our strategy here is to meet artists where they are and build locally with global standards.”
Entirely self-funded and independent, ONErpm has become one of YouTube’s top five global music partners, generating over 25 billion monthly views. With strong performance across Asia and Africa, it is doubling down on investment in Southeast Asia, positioning the Philippines as a strategic hub.
Meet the new PH team
As part of its rollout, ONErpm has introduced a dedicated team in Manila:
Clark Cunanan, senior business development manager, brings experience from The Orchard Philippines and Universal Music Group.
Alyssa “Pebs” Pe Benito, marketing manager, has led viral campaigns and major-label strategies.
Presh Ong, business development & A&R representative, known as “DJ Alice” from Wish 107.5, focuses on talent discovery and advocacy.
Louie Tamon, project manager, supports artist onboarding and DSP pitching.
The big picture
“The Philippines already has the talent pool, a passionate music scene, and strong export potential, which allows us to add considerable value through flexible deal structures, transparency, incredible local personnel, and our tech stack,” Miranda added.
By positioning itself as a “record label of the future,” ONErpm’s Philippines expansion is both a milestone celebration and a springboard for shaping Southeast Asia’s music future. — Ramon C. Nocon
