Insider Spotlight
The company and affiliate PH1 World Developers topped off Tower 1 of Avesta Residences in Imus, Cavite, completing the building’s structural framework as the project moves closer to delivering homes under the government’s affordable housing initiative.
“For both PH1 World Developers and Megawide Construction, the topping off after less than ten months from the start of construction conveys a clear message - we can deliver using our engineering expertise and pre-cast technology. We have a long way to go but it is always good to start on the right footing,” Megawide chair and CEO Edgar Saavedra said.
Big picture
The milestone forms part of Megawide’s broader plan to build 100,000 affordable homes worth about P180 billion over five years, one of the largest private-sector commitments under the expanded 4PH program.
The company is betting its precast construction technology can shorten construction time and lower building costs as it scales housing developments nationwide.
Pipeline expands
Following Avesta Residences, PH1 has expanded its participation in the government’s housing program with additional developments in Dasmariñas, Bacoor and Caloocan.
“Our projects would not have come to fruition without the support and collaboration from our valued stakeholders and government partners. We warmly welcome these types of private and public cooperation as we push forward for more 4PH developments from PH1 and Megawide Construction,” PH1 World Developers president Gigi Alcantara said.
First 4PH project
Avesta Residences is PH1 World Developers’ first development under the expanded 4PH program. The project follows the unit draw for Tower 1 beneficiaries last December, bringing future homeowners a step closer to taking possession of their units.
