The Provincial Government of Bohol recognized Mapalad Power Corporation (MPC) Ubay, a subsidiary of Alsons Power Group, with the Governor’s Excellence Award during the 172nd Bohol Day Celebration in Tagbilaran City. Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado presented the award, citing the company’s contribution to the province’s energy reliability and economic stability.

Powering through disruptions
The recognition highlights the partnership between the Provincial Government of Bohol and Alsons Power in providing a dependable backup power source during grid disruptions and other contingencies.
MPC Ubay operates a 95.2-megawatt In-Island Diesel Baseload Backup Power Plant in Ubay, Bohol. The facility helps maintain electricity supply during emergencies, supporting essential services, business operations, and industrial activity across the province.
