Insider Spotlight
Rather than relying solely on traditional branches, the bank is expanding its reach by placing ATM Go terminals inside trusted community partners, particularly money service businesses.
This ecosystem-driven approach allows everyday banking services to show up in familiar locations, helping RCBC reach areas where full-service branches are limited or impractical.
RCBC president and CEO Reggie Cariaso said the expansion reflects the bank’s long-term vision of inclusive growth powered by collaboration.
“RCBC continues to build ecosystems that meet Filipinos where they are,” Cariaso said. “By partnering with institutions that are already deeply rooted in communities, we are effectively expanding our branch footprint without walls, bringing banking closer and more relevant to everyday life.”
Why it matters
For many Filipinos, accessing basic banking still means long travel, long lines, or missed work hours. ATM Go reduces that friction by placing banking services closer to daily routines, making it easier to send money, save small amounts, or withdraw cash when it’s needed most.
Details of the expansion were outlined in a press release, which highlighted how ATM Go placements within money service businesses allow RCBC clients, including DiskarTech users, to transact more conveniently while opening access to formal banking for more Filipinos without traveling far.
RCBC is also broadening how money moves across the country. Through ATM Go’s growing partner network, customers will be able to send and receive funds nationwide with the speed Filipinos expect from remittance services, now backed by RCBC’s digital infrastructure.
This positions ATM Go as a practical bridge between physical touchpoints and digital banking.
For RCBC account holders, the expanded ecosystem means greater flexibility in sending money even to recipients without RCBC accounts.
With partner locations acting as accessible endpoints, recipients can receive cash almost anytime and anywhere.
The big picture
RCBC executive vice president and chief innovations and inclusion officer Lito Villanueva said the partnerships will help the bank serve more Filipinos by making financial services easier to access and more relevant to their livelihoods.
“Our mission to include more Filipinos into the digital banking system will definitely transform more communities, enterprises, and entrepreneurs,” Villanueva said.
The expansion builds on ATM Go’s track record of industry-first innovations and recent industry recognitions, reinforcing RCBC’s strategy of meeting Filipinos where they already are. —Princess Daisy C. Ominga | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
