Insider Spotlight
The move marks one of the country’s largest off-branch banking deployments, extending BPI’s reach into high-traffic retail locations to make financial transactions part of Filipinos’ daily routines.
“That is what true convenience means—thinking about what our customers need,” said TG Limcaoco, BPI president and CEO. “They don’t have to make an extra trip just to withdraw cash. They can do it while doing their groceries or shopping at the department store. That’s the kind of seamless experience we aim for.”
Wider reach and ease of access
Through the partnership, BPI users can withdraw cash even without an ATM card. Customers simply generate a barcode through the BPI app and present it at participating RRHI stores to complete their transactions.
The service is now available in more than 300 RRHI food segment outlets, including Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Easymart, The Marketplace, Shopwise, and No Brand. Robinsons Department Store and Toys“R”Us are also participating, with more brands to be added soon.
Clients can withdraw up to P10,000 per transaction, for a maximum of five transactions per day, depending on store brand. All transactions are free of charge, with savings account opening and product applications also supported in select locations.
Retail partnership driving access
Tin Tueres, RRHI food segment managing director, said the partnership aligns with the retailer’s goal of embedding convenience and financial access in everyday life.
“This partnership is all about making banking possible and accessible and part of everyday life,” Tueres said. “Together with BPI we’re not just making grocery shopping easier—we’re changing how Filipinos bank.”
What’s next
BPI said deposit acceptance through partner stores will follow in phases, further expanding the scope of services available outside traditional branches and ATMs.
