With these moments in mind, Metrobank has introduced its Spark Joy Promo, an initiative aimed at encouraging and rewarding the everyday saving habits of Filipinos.
Designed to support customers in moving closer to their financial aspirations, the program offers added value to the simple act of growing one’s savings.
A way to make saving more rewarding
Metrobank, in a press release, said it believes that saving is more than just adding numbers to an account — it’s about building toward the life you envision. With the Spark Joy Promo, the bank gives savers an extra reason to feel good about setting money aside through guaranteed eGifts of up to P10,000.
The promo runs from Oct. 24, 2025 to Feb. 28, 2026, offering customers instant rewards as they grow their funds.
The mechanics are simple: the more your savings increase, the bigger the reward you unlock — on top of the interest your account already earns.
Open to new and existing clients
Individuals without a Metrobank deposit account can easily join by opening one at any branch or by starting an eSavings account via the Metrobank App. Existing clients may join as well.
After setting up an account, participants must register through the Giftaway portal, then begin growing their savings. Customers need to reach an average daily balance (ADB) of at least P15,000 and maintain it for six months — or continue increasing it. Higher ADB growth translates to larger eGift rewards.
For example, growing your savings by P15,000 and maintaining it earns a P300 eGift. Reaching P500,000 unlocks the maximum P10,000 guaranteed reward.
Metrobank likens the experience to hitting milestones or “leveling up” in a financial journey — a small but meaningful win for consistent savers.
Encouraging purposeful saving
Metrobank hopes Spark Joy inspires Filipinos to save with intention, celebrate progress, and reward themselves along the way.
Whether the goal is short-term happiness or long-term financial security, the bank believes the journey can — and should — be joyful. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
