San Miguel Corp. shared a birthday message for chair and CEO Ramon S. Ang, honoring his leadership as the force behind the company’s thriving workplace culture.
“Happy birthday to a boss who leads with purpose and heart. Through the projects you pursue, you help improve the lives of everyday Filipinos and inspire others to work toward a better tomorrow," the diversified conglomerate said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
The message also thanked Ang for “always pushing us to grow, to care more, and to give our best,” and for building “a culture in San Miguel that truly feels like a second family and a second home.”
SMC's business portfolio spans food and beverage, energy and infrastructure. It also operates the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the country's busiest air gateway, and is in the midst of developing a new international airport complex in Bulacan province.
The tribute comes as SMC led nine Philippine companies in Forbes magazine’s 2025 World’s Best Employers list, ranking No. 42 among 900 global firms and again topping the local pack.
SMC employs 56,622 people and improved sharply from No. 89 in last year’s rankings.
