Finance Secretary Frederick Go, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli Remolona Jr., Economy Secretary Arsenio Balisacan and Budget Secretary Kim Robert De Leon will lead the 2026 Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP) Economic Forum on Aug. 14.
The flagship forum comes as policymakers balance the need to support economic activity while keeping inflation, government finances and financial markets stable.
With the theme “Strengthening Economic Resilience in an Era of Uncertainty,” discussions will focus on the government’s policy direction and how the economy can better withstand external and domestic shocks.
Private-sector executives from digital financial services and manufacturing will bring the business perspective, including how companies are responding to changing market conditions.
The forum, to be held at the BSP Assembly Hall, is supported by gold sponsors Maya Philippines Inc., GCash and JTI Philippines, with BDO Unibank Inc. as silver sponsor.
Bronze sponsors are SM Investments Corp., Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc., Filinvest Development Corp., Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co., Rizal Commercial Banking Corp., Philippine National Bank, Security Bank Corp., EastWest Banking Corp. and Asialink Finance Corp.
This year’s EJAP board is led by president Ted Cordero, with Lorenz Marasigan as vice president for external affairs and Maria Bernadette Romero as vice president for internal affairs.
Beatriz Cruz serves as secretary, Jed Aldous Macapagal as treasurer and Brix Lelis as auditor, while the board of directors includes Gerard de la Peña, Louella Desiderio, Alena Mae Flores, Jordeene Lagare and Lenie Lectura.
