Held on Feb. 27 in Makati City, the conference carried the theme “Building Success Together as ONE GAC,” bringing together dealer principals and representatives from Metro Manila, North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Why it matters
The event marked the first dealer gathering organized under GAC’s wholly owned Philippine subsidiary, following the establishment of GAC International Philippines Inc.
Now managed directly by GAC headquarters, the company aims to streamline parts availability, enhance aftersales support, and improve coordination across its nationwide network.
The shift to direct operations underscores GAC’s long-term commitment to the Philippine market, as competition intensifies in the hybrid and electric vehicle segments.
What they’re saying
“The change to self-operation shows our strong confidence in the local market. It also means we will invest more resources, strengthen the local team, and fully support all partners for win-win growth,” said Steven Wang, senior vice president of GAC International.
The details
According to a company release, the conference served as a platform to align dealers with GAC Philippines’ strategic direction under the ONE GAC philosophy — One Brand, One Channel, and One Service — designed to standardize sales, service, and customer experience nationwide.
Dealer principals participated in a ceremonial signing of agreements during the event, signaling continued market confidence and reinforcing the stability of GAC’s distribution structure in the country, the company said in the release.
Product pipeline
GAC Philippines also provided dealers with an exclusive preview of its 2026 product portfolio, reflecting a broader mix of internal combustion, hybrid, and full electric offerings.
The lineup includes the GS8 HEV, AION UT, HYPTEC HT, AION V, AION Y Plus, E8, and GN8 PHEV.
The company is placing particular emphasis on building market awareness for the GS8 HEV and the upcoming GS8 HEV Limited Edition, positioned as a new benchmark in hybrid luxury.
