DigiPlus Interactive has taken a step toward integrating its online gambling business with LaVie Resort & Casino Manila, with the casino operator tapping a DigiPlus subsidiary to help launch its online gaming operations.

Hong Kong-listed International Entertainment Corp. said its Philippine unit, New Coast Leisure Inc. (NCLI), signed a cooperation agreement with Total Gamezone Xtreme Inc. (TGXI), a wholly owned DigiPlus subsidiary, covering online casino games and related gaming content.

The agreement comes days after DigiPlus, known for BingoPlus and ArenaPlus gambling platforms, completed the second tranche of its HK$1.6-billion (P12.5 billion) investment in International Entertainment, the owner of LaVie Resort & Casino Manila in Malate.

NCLI operates LaVie Resort & Casino Manila and holds licenses and accreditations covering electronic casino gaming, gaming system administration and game content provision.

TGXI, meanwhile, is a Philippine online gaming operator and a wholly owned subsidiary of DigiPlus, whose shares trade on the Philippine Stock Exchange.

Under the deal, NCLI will use its Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.-issued online gaming licenses while TGXI will provide game aggregation, gaming content, technical support and operational services.

The arrangement is non-exclusive, allowing both companies to pursue similar partnerships with other operators.
