Brokered by domestic platform operator JKS Tech Solutions, the deal arms the gaming firm with high-volume digital slots to supply local operators.
The move follows PhilWeb’s recent agreement to acquire a 30 percent stake in JKS for P4.23 billion, accompanied by a reciprocal P1.34-billion investment from JKS.
“The MegaWin partnership secured by JKS builds on the momentum of our recent agreements and is another step in PhilWeb’s long-term strategy of expanding its technology-enabled gaming services business,” said PhilWeb chair Lance Y. Gokongwei.
MegaWin’s software is engineered to plug seamlessly into the backend networks of casinos and other gaming partners.
This new infrastructure will funnel directly into the expanding online operations of massive physical properties like Okada Manila, Newport World Resorts, and NUSTAR.
“With JKS adding another respected international gaming services provider, our network of licensed operators, spanning luxury integrated casino resorts and premier domestic platforms, will have access to a broader and more diversified range of offerings,” Gokongwei said.
The aggressive push comes as PhilWeb faces stiff competition from other digital gaming groups, including market leader DigiPlus Interactive and tycoon Enrique Razon Jr.'s revamped FunaloMax platform under Bloomberry Resorts.
