The Philippine-listed firm has joined the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming (IBJR), whose members represent more than 60 percent of Brazil’s regulated online betting market.
The membership places DigiPlus alongside global operators including bet365, BetMGM, Betano, Betfair and Betsson Group as Brazil’s newly regulated gambling industry continues to take shape.
“Joining the IBJR reflects DigiPlus’ expansion in Brazil, where we already operate the BingoPlus brand and continue to invest in growing our presence in the country,” Graham Tidey, managing director of DigiPlus in Brazil, said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Bringing over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry, we pioneered digital entertainment in the Philippines and are committed to replicating this success in the Brazilian market in a responsible manner and in full compliance with regulatory requirements,” he added.
DigiPlus said the move supports its expansion in Brazil, where it already operates the BingoPlus brand and is investing to grow its presence.
IBJR said the addition of DigiPlus strengthens the industry’s collective push for responsible gaming and tougher action against illegal betting operators.
