Stronger cultural connection

Card games have long been part of Filipino gatherings, providing opportunities for conversation, entertainment, and social interaction.

GameZone is drawing on that cultural familiarity to connect its online gaming services with experiences that audiences already recognize.

The partnership with Gloc-9 extends the company's “Tara G! Sama Tayo.” campaign beyond online gaming and into music. Released worldwide on Oct. 30,  “Tara G!” draws inspiration from everyday Filipino expressions of friendship, participation, and togetherness.

The song builds on Gloc-9's reputation for storytelling rooted in Filipino experiences, using a familiar invitation associated with gatherings, games, and shared activities.

‘Rooted in real Pinoy experiences’

GameZone spokesperson Ava Castillo said the collaboration was intended to give the company's campaign a stronger cultural connection.

“We wanted ‘Tara G! Sama Tayo.’ to be more than a campaign line. Music gives us a way to bring that invitation into Filipino culture in a form people can hear, share, and make their own. Gloc-9 was a natural collaborator because his storytelling has always been rooted in real Filipino experiences,” she added.

The song is available worldwide through Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Deezer. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
