Insider Spotlight

  • DigiPlus outlined a four-step, data-driven responsible gaming framework at G2E Asia Philippines
  • The company said digital platforms must embed safeguards directly into product design
  • Broader rollout of new responsible gaming innovations is set to begin in 2026

DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the digital entertainment company behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, highlighted the growing importance of responsible gaming as it took part in a panel discussion at the Global Gaming Expo Asia Philippines on December 11 at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.

Why it matters

The always-on nature of digital gaming platforms is reshaping expectations around player protection.

Operators are increasingly expected to go beyond baseline compliance and actively design systems that help players stay in control while supporting sustainable growth.

Driving the discussion

DigiPlus was represented on the panel “Innovations in Responsible Gaming and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)” by Erick Su, who leads ArenaPlus, the company’s flagship sportsbook platform.

The session brought together industry leaders to explore how accessibility, innovation, and regulation can coexist in a rapidly digitizing gaming ecosystem.

Su said that unlike traditional venues, digital platforms demand proactive safeguards that are embedded directly into operations.

He noted that this shift places greater responsibility on operators to identify potential risks early and support healthy play behaviors before issues escalate.

How it works

DigiPlus outlined a four-step responsible gaming framework that continues to evolve, with new innovations scheduled for broader rollout across its platforms beginning in 2026. The framework covers education, prevention, intervention, and treatment support.

Education begins at onboarding, where players are introduced to responsible gaming features and undergo Know-Your-Customer processes designed to prevent access by minors or restricted individuals.

Using aggregated, consent-based data and analytics, the platform reviews general play patterns to detect early indicators of risk and recommend preventive measures.

When potential concerns are identified, players are encouraged to use built-in tools such as bet and deposit limits, session duration controls, and other responsible gaming options.

Customer support teams are available 24/7 to assist users in setting up and activating these features.

For players who need further assistance, DigiPlus provides guidance on self-exclusion and, where authorized, helps facilitate the process through appropriate regulatory channels.

These measures are reinforced by the company’s broader CSR initiatives and partnerships with external organizations offering professional support.

What he said

“Regulatory requirements are the minimum. To promote sustainable gaming, operators need to be proactive in using technology to deliver responsible gaming measures for players at an early stage,” Su said.
