“With Clark, Pampanga emerging as the next gaming and tourism hub, Belle Corp. president and CEO Armin Raquel Santos remains upbeat on the company’s growth prospects, and bullish on the Philippine gaming market and its resilience despite industry headwinds,” the gaming-focused company said in a stock exchange filing on Thursday.
Belle, whose major shareholders include conglomerate SM Investments Corp., applied for the gaming license via subsidiary Premium Leisure Corp. (PLC). Through PLC, the group is also a major investor in the City of Dreams integrated casino along Manila Bay.
Belle also announced it won the Silver Award in the SME category at the 9th Asia Integrated Reporting Awards (AIRA).
“Belle is proud to achieve its first-ever Asian award. This win is a manifestation of our strong commitment to transparent, balanced, and accurate reporting. Our shareholders can expect us to continue to operate responsibly, serve our communities, and create value,” Santos said.
This award, among the highest honors in integrated reporting, recognizes Belle’s comprehensive reports since 2018, which detail governance, strategy, performance, and future prospects.
In early 2024, Belle earned its first Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) for the same report.
The recognition followed a rigorous three-tier judging process by industry experts from the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
